Thank you for being a Minnesota voter and making sure your voice is heard this year!

If you live in Fridley, New Brighton, or Spring Lake Park, you have options on how and where you can vote for the November 3, 2020 General Election.  

Voting starts on Friday, September 18.  Starting on October 27, voters will be able to submit their ballot directly into counting machines at early vote sites.

Vote by Mail

You can vote 100% by mail.  Simply request your ballot online, fill it out at home, and drop it in the mail.  It’s best to return it as soon as you can.

Return Mail Ballot In Person

You can sign up to have a ballot mailed to you at home and then return it in-person to a ballot drop off location in your area.

This is a new option for 2020.  Call ahead to make sure this is an option in your community.

Vote Early In-Person

You can go to an early vote location and cast your ballot in-person before Election Day. You do not need to request a ballot by mail for this option.

In-person absentee voting and and ballot drop off at municipal locations is ONLY for residents of that city.

New Brighton

Absentee in-person voting sites

Beginning Sept. 18, Ramsey County voters may vote in-person by using an absentee ballot at three locations. Eligible voters may visit any location, regardless of their home address. Ballots do not need to be requested in advance.

For residents of Lauderdale, Maplewood, North St. Paul, St. Anthony, and Shoreview, you have additional options in your city.  Click on your city name for more information.

All locations will be open the following hours:

  • Weekdays Sept. 18 – Oct. 30: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 31: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 2: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The absentee in-person voting site at the Ramsey County Elections Office – Plato Building will open at 8 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27, in-person voting will be available at the following locations:

Dropping off your absentee ballot

Ballots may be returned in person beginning Sept. 18 to any of the locations listed below. Locations are open through Nov. 2.  

Ballots should be returned inside the building where an official will verify the voter information is complete.  Ballots may be returned using curbside service at the Ramsey County Elections Office, New Brighton Community Center, and Ramsey County Library – Roseville locations. Please call the number listed on the sign when you arrive.  Ballots should not be placed in any county or city document drop boxes or payment boxes.
